Let's be honest: too many designers still think that accessibility is a pain in the arse. Some pretend it doesn't exist, others treat it as the sworn enemy of creativity.
Bad news, kids: accessibility isn't optional, it's the law - and it's here to stay.
But here's the good news: accessibility is the best creative brief you'll ever get. Endless freedom does not foster creativity: working within constraints does. Accessibility gives us exactly that: a set of challenges that force us to push past lazy solutions and find ideas that are smarter, sharper, fully inclusive, and more expansive.
This talk will prove that accessible design isn't boring, restrictive, or ugly. Quite the opposite: it's more innovative, more inclusive, more impactful, and – cherry on the cake – demonstrably more profitable.
